CD Reviews

It's just that great!
Michael Peyton | Sanger, CA USA | 12/19/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is my favorite CD in the world. When I say that NOFX is the greatest punk band, it is not just MY opinion. An overwhelming amount of people know that NOFX are just plain the greatest at writing exciting punk music that doesn't get old as they evolve through the years. This live CD has to be bought by YOU! I'm not writing this review for my health. I'm doing it to help YOU make a good CD buying decision. NOFX chose some great songs to put on this. If you are skeptical about buying this because it's live, forget that. The fact that it's live makes it all the better. The recording is great; the best recording on a live CD I've ever heard. All the songs are performed better than on their original CD's and the guitars are really smooth. Hefe and Melvin work really well together and the drums are very clean. Fat Mike's voice is strong and Hefe's trumpet sounds great, especially on "Bob". I also enjoy how the band speaks with each other and interacts with the audience between songs, it makes you feel like you're actually experiencing it. In closing, if you are at least 35% sure that you want this CD, buy it. You will definetely not regret it one bit. I recommend it over all of their studio CD's. It's just that great."
I Heard They DON'T Suck Live!

"Corny title, I know, but it's true. This album makes you feel like you're at that show. You can almost see Mike's bad haircut (if you get the album, you'll know what I'm talking about). The songs are great, the lyrics are changed a bit, but that's okay. The crowd is great, too. NOFX are very talented, and I recommend this album to anyone that likes and/or appreciates true talent."
Good punk - just don't expect anything revolutionary

"This is a fun album. NOFX has always been fun, they're not one of the "serious" punk bands . . . gee I can't think of an example but you know what I mean. This CD has some great songs on it like the opening track and "Moron Brothers" and more. It's also pretty damn funny."
