"I stumbled on to this title at the local library. Both my 18-month old multiracial daughter and I love every song. Using a mix of rap, country, rock, folk, and blues, the songs teach kids to respect themselves and their unique talents. It also reminds kids that everyone is different in some special way. (Song about a girl who walks on her wheels, a boy who sees with his hands, a song about twins,and a song about multicultural families). A rap song that tells the story of Martin Luther King, Sally Ride, Dr. Seuss and the bus driver down the street -- that everyone has a dream inside her -- is aa powerful reminder to all of us! At least two of the songs make me cry everytime because they are so meaningful; one is a musical blessing for your child. Imani's daycare is sold on the cassette, too, after hearing it! Well worth the purchase and songs that will live with you for years to come."
