CD Reviews

It is one of the best mix tapes ever!
07/30/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"i was given this tape by nigel richards himself at abduction 0:4 here in lex, and when i left the party and listened to it , you could feel the vibe in the tape. the opening track is extremely bouncy, and it keeps bouncing till the end. a must have."
Funky House that turns into Acid Tweakiness
Jared C | Hockessin, DE USA | 09/09/1998
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I've been to Shampoo, Skyline and many other clubs as well as 611 in Philly. As far as club events go, Nigel puts on a slamming show, usually pumping the crowd up to high levels of energy. Some of that feel is not lost here, however, some of it is. The disc starts out as funky-styled house and gradually progresses to acid house with tons of tweaks. Lots of short stops and fade outs and ins are also characteristic of the mix - you can almost feel Nigel smiling at the crowd's awkwardness during these moments (and the crowd loving it). Good mix, not superior, but still worth checking out. due props to Nigel. (hey mouse - member me? think april foolz 2)"
Doo-dadaaaa-deee......These beats are phat!!!!!

"From the first dododod-daaaa-de-de to the last dink-do-daaaaa philly DJ Nigel Richards spins some of the sickest acid house tracks around. He's truly earned his standing as one of the premiere DJ's in the USofA. This CD could be called 611 gasoline because it gives out some hot dancing fuel. Plus Dieselboy is from Philly like Richards and diesel is in the gasoline/fuel family so it would be similar. Dieselboy's awesome too. Jack Lambert, Long Island"
