Faggen | Fairfax, VA | 12/11/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "I heard an excerpt from these sonatas by Niels Gade, a prominent 19th century Danish composer on radio and enjoyed it thoroughly so I took a chance and purchased the CD. This is very warm, lyrical, accessible music, enjoyable on first hearing yet sophisticated and complex enough to enjoy again and again. Violinist Christiana Astrand and pianist Per Salo perform beautifully together. Gade's music should be heard more often. This is a good addition to your music collection."
