CD Reviews

No, not the awful, prog-rock "nice"
Velobwoy | Kilauea, Kauai | 02/13/2005

"A wonderful and criminallly underrated record from Australia's Randall Lee (ex-Cannane) & friends. Definitely a landmark "strum" record - it rocks, it shimmies, it makes your heart swoon just a bit. Memorable melodies, alternating vocals between Lee's baritone and bellydancer Susannah Stuart-Lindsey's wayward croon, and FANTASTIC drumming from Jo Packer. Their debut was good, but this is better. If you have a fondness for antipodal indie sounds, do yourself a favor and snag this record."
Yep, no prog rock here. Something much much better!

"This is a superb album, but it is not Keith Emerson's band. His band is bloated prog rock. This is one of the most unusual find I've ever stumbled upon. It's indie rock band with great melodies, a somewhat dark tone, and alternating vocal duties between a guy singer and the girl. I love this album. Take a chance. If you like the early nineties band, the Feelies, you'll love this. Just to correct something here, the band's name is simply "Nice". Not "The Nice" . Oh, and if you don't know who the Feelies are, well, there's something I can do for you at this point. (this band has two discs out, as far as I know, Both on the Feel Good All Over label)"
Amazing

"This album is really underrated but that doens't mean it's bad. In the contrary, this is one of the best alternative albums I've had. To sum it all up, is like a mixture bewteen Miracle Legion and The Smiths."
