Another gem

"Peyton, Matt & Garrett serve up the most jarringly melodic noise-pop this side of Polvo. As hushed silences suddenly give way to frightening blasts of crunching bass and guitar, you realize you're hearing a band finally hit its stride. In a perfect world, these guys would've been signed already and we wouldn't have to scramble to hunt down the new stuff (anyone managed to track down "Singular, No Article" recently?)"
A glorious cataclysm of noise and harmony.

"Anyone who appreciates left-of-center, power-driven, raucous pop will enjoy this record. New Radiant Storm King is a musical force to be reckoned with, combining catchy guitar riffs with brooding lyrics and smashing drums. This record swells and falls, is at once bright and dark, and fills you with hope and angst all at the same time. The songs are richly textured and dramatically nuanced. Save yourself from the other musical drivel that is cluttering the airwaves and tune into New Radiant Storm King!"
A near-masterpiece

"The first time I heard these guys it was on a split single w/Guided by Voices. They covered GBV's "I Am A Scientist" and I wasn't too crazy about it. Maybe because I liked the original so much. Anyway, it was enough to provoke me to check this out and I'm glad I did. Highly recommended!"
