Aussie 3-piece NEON, purveyors of fine melodies and big cheerful choruses, come crashing back with an awesome new single entitled "Dizziness" on April 18th. "Dizziness" is taken from the band's forthcoming self-titled debut album which will be released in the summer. Neon, who hail from Melbourne, previously released a couple of EPs on Graham Coxon's Transcopic label before being snapped up by V2 - the last one being the limited edition EP "Hit Me Again" which was released on Summer 04. "Dizziness" is released on CD with 2 extra tracks and 7" with a cover of Cheap Trick's "He's A Whore" on the flipside. If you have yet to hear Neon, imagine Cheap Trick and The Replacements jamming in the middle of the dessert with Lou Barlow and The Smashing Pumpkins and you might get some kind of idea what sort of noise they make. The band, who are vocalist/guitarist Josh Bitmead, drummer Jamie Gurney (drums) and blonde bombshell bassist Britt Spooner, land on these shore in April for a few select gigs.
