The melodies are not complex, but the playing is great and the purity of this blend of rock and jazz is reminds you of why fusion at this stage was so captivating. Before the genre drifted into the banalities of "smooth", albums like this explored a the fresh new possibilities of two important genres."

"Not even close to excellence of Jungle Fever in terms of vibrancy and raw excitement found on that previous record but alas the last great moment of the feiten/larsen collaboration before MOR vocals ruin the mix. The big problem here is the overall sound of the mix, no immediacy, sort of a down the hall recording. Was Steve Gadd just our of rehab for these sessions? None of the sparkle of his earlier 70's sessions are found here. Regardless, if you love Buzz's solos, you need to buy this."

"I never thought I would get this release on CD and my vinyl copy was wearing out! Neil is on great form on
this album joined by many Jazz Fusion greats such as Michael Brecker, Steve Gadd, Abraham Laboriel, Paulinho Da Costa and of course Buzz Feiten providing great guitar support throughout.This was a time when Jazz Fusion
had an edge to it with Demonette being played at many clubs when it was released.
Get in your car and head to the coast playing the title track as loud as possible!"
