CD ReviewsPerfection Through Brutality Twitch | Atlanta, GA | 12/18/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "I for one, have never really ever believed the hype surrounding most bands, most of them are said to be the best and are not bad, but very mediocre (i.e. Carnal Forge). But for once, the critics have praised an album for what it is, and Necrosphere are even better than they were hyped to be. Necrodeath's debut, 'Revived', is easily the most brutal album of the year, let alone of the heaviest recordings of all time. Destroying bands like Cannibal Corpse and Cryptopsy and breaking themselfs into one of metal's hottest priorities, this Italian band has become what most bands only dream of becoming; loud, heavy, and perfectly brutal (and I stress brutal). To break it down, here lies the greatest drummer in metal today. He can play at true break neck speed and not let it just sound uncoridnated. Vocally, just as good. Very strong screams that would leave Chris Barnes shaking. Guitars and bass are, again, so of the best in the industry. For the song breakdown I will start with my personal favorite track, "Biomechanical Death Machine". With the excellent sampling and perfect music and lyrics it just sums the album up, just listen to it you will be hooked. "Ramming The Blades" and "Towers Of Sin" are two more excellent tracks that push this death metal release through the roof. Unlike most albums, every single song on 'Revived' is great. I must recomend this to anybody and everybody who wants to hear some amazingly heavy music."
