Synopsis

Product Description
LA-based Nebula have returned to Tee Pee Records with this new album, which exhibits an inebriating wonder world of inherent ingenuity. The band strays leagues away from the province of processed, microchip-generated instrumentals. They're the minimalists of music the way rock began. No big expensive effects racks, pop-up drummers, or voice manipulators. They're vintage and they're proud!

CD Reviews

Nebula - 'Heavy Psych' (Tee Pee Records)
Mike Reed | USA | 08/10/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Haven't heard any new Nebula in a few years now, and I've only heard maybe four or five of their stack of releases but here on 'Heavy Psych', I believe that guitarist Eddie Glass (formerly of Fu Manchu) and crew may have covered some new ground here, possibly - as 'Heavy Psych' {to me, anyway} seems a bit less stoner rock and more (obviously) psychedelic. Notably, this latest Nebula effort has been heavily influenced by the likes of vintage Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix - always a good thing. Tracks I thought showed the most promise were "Dream Submarine", "In The Depths", the awesome "The Other Side" (maybe the best tune of the entire disc) and "Little Wellow Pill". Definitely worth checking out."
Psychedelic stoner rock supreme

(4 out of 5 stars)

"On their 6th album since 1999, this Los Angeles trio delivers their trademark sound: Hard

psychedelic blues stoner guitar rock of the highest order, with blistering riffs lifted from the

heavens. Shades of Hendrix, Fu Manchu (ex-members), Orange Goblin, Monster Magnet,

Bad Wizard, Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer.
