Lovegrove Street is the new solo CD by contemporary folk songwriter Neal Phillips. It features 10 original tunes and one traditional ballad, The Ash Grove. The lyrics range from the satirical (White Plastic Stackable Chairs) to the meditative (The Slumber), and from the whimsical (Space Helmet) to Woodstock nostalgia (Run Wild, Stay True). Neal plays acoustic guitar, bass, and keyboards, and is joined by his Trifolkal partners Greg Trafidlo & Laura Pole, as well as other friends, on harmony vocals. Three songs including the title track and the audience favorite "White Plastic Stackable Chairs" were produced by Baltimore?s John Seay. Dirty Linen magazine singled out "Midwinter?s Night" as "truly lovely and a keeper."
