Gaelic a capella quartet

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The music of Navan weaves three female voices and one male voice in a serene tapestry to drift across. Liner notes include lyrics in various Gaelic languages and english translations with additional annotation regarding composers. What's more Navan will share pronunciation guides if requested via email."

"Buy this album. It doesn't matter who you are, where you are from, or what kind of music you like. This is the most beautiful acapella singing you will hear. For a serious musician, this will inspire you no matter what you play or what part you sing. If you are a novice, you will be comforted in the beautiful harmonies. If you are interested in anthropology or the study of languages, then you will enjoy this album because all the lyrics are in the liner notes including English translations. The origin of each song is also reported (mostly Irish, Scottish, Gaelic). Listening to this album instantly brings me back to the misty Cliffs of Moher or to the majestic Isle of Skye. It is gorgeous."
Great a-capella Gaelic music

"Irish folks music is pretty hot these days, and Scotish music can also be had. Navan, however, offer a unique experience. Four voices, coming together in perfect a-capella harmony, sing a variety of Gaelic folk songs from multiple traditions. A wonderful offering, and I can't wait for the second CD to come out in mid-2003!"
