OK, also a few distant seabirds, but nothing loud or distracting like seagulls. It's a perfect meditation CD, and I also use it to block out distracting traffic and neighbor and animal sounds when I'm just getting down to sleep. Turn the volume up for pounding North Shore surf, and lower for gentle Waikiki surf. My only complaint is that I had hoped it was longer. So I have to set the player on repeat or burn it several times on a long play CD-R for my bedside player."
