CD Reviews

Divorce yourself from your Expectations
s marquis | Boston MA | 07/25/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If I would have written this review upon my first listen, it would've have come out much like most of the negative reviews that have been popping up around Nate's latest work. After giving Nate's new stuff some space to breathe, I'm addicted. Well-crafted and straight from the heart. What more can someone ask?"
Nathan Larson's Genious

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Ignore that review before mine the individual obviously has too much time on his hands, Nathan's work is innovative to the musician and strait foreward for the passive (or passionate) listener. five stars hands down"
Great soulful guitar-pop form unexpected direction

(4 out of 5 stars)

"this is great. although i'm a big fan of the cubist-glam of shudder to think's 'pony express record', i can still appreciate what NL is doing here - a kind of soulful guitar-pop that no-one else is doing these days it seems. if you heard and loved STT's '50,000 bc', then this is similar to 'all eyes are different',or if heard 'i want someone badly' (from 'first love, last rites ';which was apparently the last recorded song performed by Jeff Buckley (written by NL)), you'll like this. lots."
