CD Reviews

Meaningful
Micheal K. Kissel | Boise, ID | 11/10/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Not only is this CD filled with great music performed by fantastic musicians, it has a message. Now, most times when you say that, people don't want a message... just to be entertained. In this case, you will get both and plenty of it. Like a spoonful of sugar, these excellent songs WILL entertain you while you can absorb the social conscience of the songs. If you love country/bluegrass played by top-notch musicians, you can't miss the opportunity to pick up this CD."
Glad I own It

"This Cd would appeal to almost everybody for different reasons. As an average listener, it is filled with nice melodies that are all professionally performed. For those who think music should try to "say something", this is a treasure chest, filled with social commentary delivered in a non-judgemental way. No preaching here, just lots of food for thought. For the musician, this CD will stand up to anything on the market. The vocalists and players are second to none...honestly..and tracks like "Slow Train" will convince you quickly. I whole heartedly recommend this CD for anyone who is looking for great music and wants their purchase to also fund a very noble cause."
