Album Description

This Cajun/country album has 23 tracks and is done by a well-known Louisiana singer. Every cut has a Louisiana feel to it, with energy and pizzazz. Most of the songs are standard country classics done in French, but there are some original tunes, which are sung in English. The final two songs are popular country songs done in English.

"Nancy may be well known in her native Louisiana, but I wonder how well known she is elsewhere. I only discovered her while doing a song search on Amazon, but I'm certainly glad I did.Many of these songs are country classics, sung in French with a cajun flavor. Any country fan will recognise most of them very quickly just by the tune, without looking at the bi-lingual track listing. To further please the non-French public, there are some original songs sung in English plus English versions of Blue Bayou and Down at the Twist and Shout. The title track (an original song) also appears in both versions.Nancy is a beautiful lady with a lovely voice who deserves to be heard far beyond the borders of Louisiana. I know that Nancy has recorded several albums, but most of them are not available from Amazon. If enough of you buy this, it may encourage Amazon to stock some of the others.In the meantime, you can have a lot of fun with this magnificent album."
