Synopsis

Product Description
Na Koho ?the choice? is a band that chooses to celebrate the heart and soul of the Hawaiian Islands. Their music shines through a past that has faced a great deal of adversity. Through these hard times has come an appreciation for life and family that creates the foundation of their music.
The origins of Na Koho began over ten years ago, when band member Mark was were chosen to be the spokesmen for a drug resistance program for local schools. He would deliver his anti-drug and anti-crime messages both verbally and through music to packed auditoriums full of students. This mission of reaching out and passing on our knowledge to the children remains the major force behind the band to this day.
The group reunited for a brief stint two years ago when they entered and took first place in Heineken?s Hot Hawaiian Nights Contest on Oahu. Winning with the song, Love Through The Walls.
?We play music that makes us and the audiences feel good?, states Mark. ?We are trying to take local music to the next level by involving a variety of musical influences into our sound. We play world music with our touch of island style.?
?It's a whole new positive movement, and we do this for the people that love us and believe in us.? Listen to their music and you will hear the pain and triumphs of our lives. Experience the love they have for their music and their people. This group also comes together to enjoy the freedom which life has to offer and also to remember and honor the ones we've lost.
