DDDDAM!!!!!

"These two DOUBLE cd's are layback & chill. The 1st cd is laced with some newer tracks & the 2nd are cuts from her 1st Lp but with a slight twist. It's boldness of a live performance but without the crowd. I LIKE THE TWIST & the effort of coming-up with a live remix cd and hearing small clips of the band in rehearsal. N'dambi has the voice of a jazz vocalist that easily puts you in the mind of Ledisi. N'dambi has deep Texas roots and has definitly been influenced by Erykah Badu. This cd has been out for some time but its worth buying I cant wait until the next release."
"She says words funny..." - I'm NOT Complaining...

"I let a friend check out this CD, and his comment was "She says words funny." That's JAZZ and SOUL baby! This 2-disc set is absolutely fabulous! I enjoy it FAR more than Litte Lost Girls Blues, and I didn't think it could get any better than that!

I love N'Dambi's voice, and I almost hate to say it, but I think I'm starting to like her more than Erykah. Although they are different, and continuing to compare them is just beating a dead horse.

I truly love the live studio versions of the songs from her first CD. I was a little hesitant to pick this CD up because of the cost, and because there's so many songs from her debut. But I'm SO glad I did...first of all, I found it much more reasonable, elsewhere, and secondly, even though there are songs from LLGB, she re-recorded them WAYYYYY better. It's funny, songs that I wasn't so thrilled about on the first CD, I LOVE on this 2nd set. She just performs them better...

Thank you to the reviewer(s) that have taken the time to explain jazz, and vocals, and the notes that she's hitting, especially in Ode 2 Nina. That understanding has truly helped me appreciate this CD even more.

Fave tracks:

Ode 2 Nina - I love this song to pieces...I can't even explain

Day Dreamer

See U in My Dreams

Hot Pearl - LOVE this song!

Lonely Womans' Eva Song

Soul From the Abyss - Great on both CDs! This is my all-time FAVORITE by her

Deep

Broke My Heart

...Dammit, every song on Disc 2

This CD is SO good to me, I can hardly contain it. Definitely pick this one up, pronto!
