My Little Pony pull on influences like Paul Simon and The Beatles, but create their own convincing mix of classic Pop music and newer Indie like Jens Lekman and Raymond & Maria. With their mellow, Folk-tinged soundtrack packed with trombones, saxophones, banjos and slide guitars, they have charmed their way into the hearts of at least one or two people. Enough people, in fact, that this Norwegian release from late 2008 is now being re-released in Sweden, the Philippines, and Japan.
