CD Reviews

My soul is wet
Brian Passineau | NEW YORK | 10/27/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"great album !!! i saw these guys live before anyone really knew who they were...and they blew me away...the guitar work was crisp and melodic and the vocals were really great as well...especially for a bunch of (at the time) 17 and 18 yr old kids!!! one of my favorite albums of all time...no question!!"
Great album...they could have been huge!!!

"All the songs are classics. Locked is their classic song, heavy all the way through. My Soul is Wet has a nice bass groove in the beginning. Green is just rock in a softer form; good song. What U See/We All Bleed Red...louder than anything I've ever heard. Dry Water...excellent. Ding Ding Man...fun instrumental. Get a Clue works really well with the drum demo in the beginning. Nice combo of hip hop and rap. Blank Page...slower song, but still heavy. Memories Fade is a near-ballad, but is still good, nonetheless. Nice lesson behind the song. Breakfast First Please defines heavy metal. Wait for Me is just the heavy song people can headbang to. Ugly has some of the greatest lyrics ever: "Ugly people need love too...no rest for the ugly, what's an ugly one to do?" This hip hop thrash metal band could have been huge after their appearance in Mortal Kombat. Tragic that it all ended before it started. And they were from Batesville, Arkansas, of all places!"
Just a great (but a little nostalgic) album !!

"I bought this album ten years ago... and it's my favorite band among the artists whith a BIG, BIG talent (with a fantastic scenic energy) who never met the glory.. One album and a genuine bomb !!! They're still in my soul, like other bands as Sucking Sucka's wit Logic (in a funky hard style) or Therapy?
With this album, i discovered a part of America, with deep and cruel aspects, but so heartful. So, even if you are not an american like me, go and sink in this ocean of metal and rage!!"
