"Not too many people know Musical Youth for the songs that they did. Actually most people know the songs that they wrote that other groups remade. What a shame. They keep on jamming in my music collection."
The Youth of Today

"Long before the Melody Makers, there was the Waite & Grant brothers along with lead singer Dennis Seaton, a.k.a The Musical Youth. The Musical Youth crossed all generation borders with their version of reggae, rap, and a little bit of soul. Best known for their smash hit "Pass the Dutchie" "The Youth of Today" "Wat'cha Talkin' Bout" "Unconditional Love," with Queen of Disco Donna Summer and "Sixteen," with former Shalimar group member Jody Watley. This was a time when reggae music was at it's best. This was some of the best music and some of the best years of music. They brought us the best with their musical talents and wonderful songs.
RIP: Patrick Waite...we'll always miss you!"

"To tell you the turth, i started listening to this talented musical youth stars ever since when i was about 10 years old that was as far back as 1988, i was so much in love with their music to the extent that any time its been played on air then and am at home, i'll just halt whatever am doing and stay glue to the radio set, infact they were just like gods to me.When i later grew older i had to start searching for their album in order to get my own copy but as much as i tried it proved abortive because no studio seems to have their album anymore, it pained me so much becuase i really miss the sweet sensatonal voice of those kids. i now decided to try the net to see if a could get them luckily i did thanks to amazon, i listen to their sample music and it was just like those good old days coming back to me. These boys are just the best and i tell you no body who lsitens to this music will be able to resist them they are just wonderful."

"I can't believe that I forgot about one of the best one or two hit wonder bands of he 80's. Musical Youth captured the spot light in the Wedding Singer with Past the Duchie. If you are an 80's fan this is a must have."
