Keeping the Muddy Water's Sound Alive!

"As tribute albums go, "You're Gonna Miss Me, is pretty good. It features Muddy's regular band members Luther Johnson, Calvin Jones, Bob Margolin, Pinetop Perkins, Jerry Portnoy and Willie Smith as well as special guests who played with Muddy at one time or another during his life such as Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, James Cotton, Greg Allman, Levon Helm, Peter Wolf and Koko Taylor. While overall this CD contains some very good work, Buddy Guy's version of "Clouds in my Heart", Junior Well's "I don't know why", Luther Johnson's "You can't lose", Bob Margolin's "Don't go no further", Koko's "Mean Mistreater" and Peter Wolf's "Walking through the Park" are truly standouts. All of the band members seem exceptionally sharp on this CD and the sound quality is excellent. It's worth the price, so give it a try."
