(5 out of 5 stars)

"One year and a half after the fabulous slap received while listening to Opus Secundo, Mr Sam is back beginning of this year with a third volume quite daunting and even more impressive than the previous two.

The Opus Tertio is my first album with fewer trances than its two predecessors, but built with much more maturity in search of tracks available.

If today many trance compilations coming out merely repeat the best tracks produced throughout the year, Mr Sam went on the reverse to look for collaborations around the world in order to make us discover true musical jewels mixed in a warm and captivating spiritual absolutely majestic vibes.

For those who have listened to the two other volumes, you will understand by listening to this double mix that the man grew up, he searched for quality rather than quantity, musical diversity rather than the safety of the big names scene prog-house and trance. It really feels that this jewel was born from a deep inspiration, like an inner search to issue two sets of pure pleasure and excitement growing.

The first set of the Opus Tertio has been done without any production of the French dj but with some wonders which were totally unknown to me.

The intro is signed by Vasilis Sagonas, a Greek dj better known under the name of V-Sag, is absolutely magical. You can find it along Alexandra McKay in their track "Feather" brilliantly remixed by DJ Tarkan for an exceptional intro vocal mix scented.

It will not take more than five minutes for Sam to immerse ourselves into his musical universe and to make us feel what this first set will be of an undeniable beauty!

After this magnificient intro, it continues to sail in the gentleness and spirituality with "Sweet Morning" remixed by Ganga Morten Yde then comes what for me is the pearl of this first set, the "Shanghai Story" by Spiritus Asper !

This song is absolutely magical with a staggering emotional power produced by the sublime melody of the piano throughout the track. I remained glued listening to the "Shanghai Story", it is an invitation for a round trip with no return which might surprise more than one.

In the continuity of this wonder, it is first the Colombian Julius Beat who is going to put forward himself with "A Break in the Clouds", a superb deep-house piece very melodious, followed by Slava Flash with "A State Of Global "and" Love Is People ".

The first one, clearly register himself in a very prog-house with a constant and powerful beat while the second one aims to be more tech-minimal in its construction.

Sam continues then with "Way Of Homily", a track that I really like, produced by the excellent Russian duo Moonbeam with the beautiful voice of Avis Vox with "Tunguska", a track of pure trance signed by the Italian Manual T of T4L (who has collaborated with Sam on "Rydem Koba") before coming back to a prod trance very vocal with "Take hold Of Me" by Zoltan Kontes feat Tania Zygar. This piece is excellent, the voice of Tania perfectly proportioned for a moment of intense escape.

This second half of this album which has started with Moonbeam literally registers itself into a more trance album with the confirmation of the last three pieces of the first set which are "Connected" from Vosk feat Esmaye, the masterful "Farewell" of Arctic Degrees & Chantola and "Signals" of Andy Duguid.

The first one is very vocal, the second one is a breathtaking spirituality and the third one is the work of Sam's Scottish friend , the very talented Andy Duguid in "Andy's Third Rework" remarkable to conclude this first set brilliantly and to allow us to go down quietly from heaven where Sam has taken us for more than an hour!

So after this remarkable first set, Mr Sam restarts the best ways with "Ashna" from Prayag & Rishab in a Third Opus Intro Mix very emotional and continues with the very joyful "The Last Train" from the English Ben Preston for a set more trance than the first one.

The color is announced and as usual, the French dj will once again gratify us with some UFO music and to introduce no fewer than four of his last tracks in the second mix.

The third piece, "Green Bay" of One World, which is so dear to my friend Bastien, is a wonderful prog-trance as well as "Chun" from the Chinese Yuan, which serves here as a real nugget melodious and captivating, which will undoubtedly be my favorite song in this second set.

It is at this precise moment, and after Yuan's touch of emotion, that Mr Sam puts its first track "Carved" produced in collaboration with T4L on which the beautiful Tiff Lacey raises her voice for a wonderful result of sensitivity, the whole remixed to perfection by V-Sag. We always feels the French influence Mojado in the productions (Dimitri Andreas & Mr Sam) but this track is literally more trance than some other ones that Sam has produced like "Menkayo" or "Tantra".

Then follows "Feel Like" of Madstring & Molly a prod very languid and deeper where our spirits can escape into the distant land of trance for a wonder out of the ordinary, this song literally makes me happy and impose itself as a benchmark in this album.

After this great moment of happiness, we find our national Frenchie with his friend Andy Duguid for co-producing masterful, the superb "Trazomas"!

If the begin is a strong heavy beat, the melody takes over in a register sometimes at its classical limit for the final to ultimately marry and blend perfectly into the architecture of the music track. I really liked this song and I hope Andy and Sam will continue to work longer together.

The next track, "Gone But Not Forgotten" signed Lost Stories, an alias of Prayag & Rishab which we could heard at the opening of the set is here again of a remarkable perfection and confusing. The first break is to make you cry so we are affected by the deepness of a melody more than melancholic.

These two Indian producer's djs are excellent and it is not a surprise to see them on labels like Black Hole, Appia and In Trance We Trust!

The next transition that will take on to the "Brave" the First State feat Sarah Howells is, I think, a little bit too brutal after the great emotional moments experienced with the track of Lost Stories. The return of vocals is assessed correctly and it is always with pleasure that we enjoy the Dutch duo productions.

So you come by to the last 3 pieces of this second set where you will find a second production of Vosk with "Nothing Changes" in an Lietzenmayer energetic and bewitching Remix including two pieces of Mr. Sam, "Mixi" and "Rydem Koba " along with T4L.

"Mixi", who lives up to its name, is for me the perfect definition of what we call the Mojado sound with two totally distinct phases where the first, very minimal, gives way to a second more relevant and catchy before the first regains its place in a very brutal break.

"Rydem Koba" also enrolls himself in this line and is truly representative of Mr Sam sound which we can hear since last summer in his podcast "Made In Trance". I confess that I am more catchy with tracks such as "Swan", "Carved" or "Trazomas" but "Mixi", "Rydem Koba", "Menkayo" and "Tantra", just to name a few of them, are truly part of Sam's musical world and it is obvious that our French dj would not let pass the opportunity to listen to the whole world some of its productions.

So, I have completed the review of this third album and for those of you who have read my appreciation on Opus and Opus Secundo, you will realize that Mr Sam always bring me much joy and happiness when I listen to his 10 compiles. If, I only have one word to say, is close your eyes, listen to his tracks and let you guided through the spheres derived by the dj, you will be that charmed! !

Opus was the revelation album, Opus Secundo the confirmation and Opus Tertio is undoubtedly the one of the consecration!!"
