CD Reviews

MR. HENRY RULES!!
08/29/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"After seeing Mr. Henry at a radio concert in May, I immediately went out and bought Jackhammer. Songs like *Valentino Dancing* and *Jackhammer* that have deep, underlying meanings are great to listen to, as well as the upbeat pop-like sounds of *Herkimer* and *Rock & Rye Queen.* I got to see Mr. Henry again last week, and they proved once again they are going to be around for a long time. They know how to get the crowd going, and their songs are all awesome!! So glad I got the chance to meet and talk to this awesome band!"
Mr. Henry Deserves A Break

"It is rare when a band releases a CD where practically all of the songs are well crafted, memorable and you can't quit listening to it. Mr. Henry's "Jackhammer" is that kind of CD. I've seen them play live three times in 1999 and it's live that you get the real sense that Mr. Henry embodies their music. Dave Slomin and Steve Conte front this band by trading off really tasteful guitar parts and great, hook laden lyrics, which leaves you wanting more when the songs are finished. Tom Spagnardi, Neil Nunziato and Andy Hollander provide a really strong rythm section which could actually come through the mix a little stronger. They are so talented and a little too quiet. Overall, "Jackhammer " has all of the tools for success, Mr. Henry just needs a recording contract to complete their total package. It's now time for the recording industry and the rest of the country to realize what we already know in Birmingham. Mr. Henry Rocks!"
This album literally changed my life. Best songs around.
