Manimal Vinyl is proud to announce a new collaboration with Onomatic Records in releasing Mountain Party's "Afternoon In Bamboos." Mountain Party is the alter ego of Argentinean born singer/songwriter Erica Garcia. After selling millions of albums in the Latin-Alternative market, she decided to move to Los Angeles and abandon her pop persona and focus on her new career as Mountain Party. She has collaborated with everyone from Devendra Banhart to Comets on Fire and sees her new liberated self as completely limitless. She spent the better part of 2006 crafting this record while on a dietary fast and the results are totally original and stunning. There are no other artists today who she can be compared to. Look out for a follow-up before the year is over. This CD will also be released on LP in late 2007 after she releases her cover of Madonna's classic "Material Girl" on Manimal's upcoming Madonna tribute record, "Through the Wilderness."
