Synopsis

Product Description
Born from the dirt and sweat of West Philadelphia, Mose Giganticus is the gritty, apocalyptic synth-punk brainchild of Matt Garfield. Performing live as a power-trio, Mose Giganticus features Garfield on bass-synth, vocals, and vocoder, with a rotating cast of eager supporting musicians on drums and guitar. As the band's name suggests, however, Mose Giganticus conjures a sound much larger than the sum of its parts by utilizing technological savvy in an ever-escalating equipment arms-race. Keytar, vocoder, and electronics collide with raw vocals, powerful drums, and malevolent guitars at a driving tempo, described as though Thriller-era Quincy Jones produced a Bane record (John-Michael Bond, Mammoth Press). Touring relentlessly in a converted short-bus on recycled waste vegetable oil (WVO), Mose Giganticus has performed to masses of churning bodies from Philadelphia, PA to Anchorage Alaska to The FEST 7 in Gainesville FL and almost everywhere in-between. From stages, to basements, to warehouses and kitchens, Mose Giganticus will transform any location with an electrical outlet into a show space... and what Mose Giganticus delivers with volume, they will exceed with intensity. Underground music insiders have called Mose Giganticus the future of underground music (Lindsey Parr, 16 Blocks Magazine) and the best new band I've seen [at The FEST 7]. It's heavy-as-sh*t... (Scott Heisel, Music Editor, Alternative Press). Through self-motivation and notorious resourcefulness, Mose Giganticus has been called the hardest working band in punk rock (Kylewilliam Campol, The Cottage Records) and gaining momentum. 2007 brought the debut full-length release of The Invisible Hand (Valiant Death Records) and a national tour followed by the 2008 release of the Commander! EP (Slanty Shanty Records / The Cottage Records) and an 8-month international tour. Plans for 2009 include a brand new full-length release with accompanying US / European tour.
