"Now this is a truely amazing CD! With inspiration and musicianship from Deep Purple, Rainbow and other hard rock bands from the 1970's Moonstone Project resurrects a wonderful sound that demands to be heard! I'm a 48 year old rock n roll fanatic and I have collected over 2000 cd's and 1500 albums to date and this is one of my all time favorite cd's already! It's that good! Damn good! Sooooo good it must be purchased! It must be listened to often and artists like Matt Filippini must be encouraged to continue making cd's just like this one! This is the antidote to bad rock music and pop icons like Britney Spears! Crack open this cd and heal thy soul! Radio one get busy!!!"

"This brings back some serious heavy, classic sounds! Graham Bonnet & Glenn Hughes do some great work on this record. The all-star list of players, Carmen Appice, Tony Franklin, Ian Paice, Steve Walsh, etc... bring hard rock justice to 2006. Matt Filippini sure knows how to bring a crew together. Listen to Rose in Hell, Fire & Water, & Moonstone. Great tunes from an era that seemed to have went aimless & adrift."

"The only reason i feel compelled to write this review is out of respect to any old school rocker getting ready to shell out amazon's ridiclously high price for this cd. Yes it is in the 70's era of music, no it's not heavy, barely hard, a solid rock record but nothing extrodinary. I disagree with the editors review and the two present reviews by fans. Right now you can buy much better hard rock, check out Glenn Hughes/Music For The Divine or even better than that Ian Gillan/Gillan's Inn, both of these are recent releases."

"The once rhythmn section of the Mark 3/4 Deep Purple reunite, to be possibly the main reason to purchase this project. Although, it is quite good as a whole,it does lack some great qualites created by other italian countrymen like Dario Mollo's projects but better than the Chris Catena project. Nonethelss, anyone who can draw Glenn Hughes out of his schedule and aknowledge the fact that the greatest voice alive today should sing on this record, also the inclusion of drummer Ian Paice and other guests to boot is quite an ordeal and full marks should be given. It has some passages heard before and does have that type of rock that only a few can stll pull off but on a scale from 1-10. I say it is a 7, with most of my 10's going to the excerpts given from Hughes.
If you like this CD, you should try "Living Loud", or the Dario Mollo stuff-"Voodoo Hill" or also go back and take a listen to the late 80's early 90's outfit --"Badlands"
