"This album is a great edition to anyone searching for Mongo Santamaria's music should also check this out! This is Mongo's son playing on piano. This album is full of bass heavy grooves of a free spirited nature. All of the songs make you want to get up and dance. The horns are searing with a strong sound. Ronnie Marks' singing is backed by a hell of a band. If you want an albulm packed with strong latin jazz numbers, with a little bolero and guajira thrown in, this is the album for you: Strong playing all around!"
