CD ReviewsGreat comedy from a classic comedian 07/08/1998 (4 out of 5 stars) "Moms Mabley is a little known comedian today, although in her day she was one of the tops in her field. Some of the stories on this CD will be familiar to you just because they have been repeated many times by others, but Moms was the first. Moms entertained her fans for nearly 50 years, with her first solo act in 1920. On this CD I particularly enjoyed the "Good Old Days" and "Friends" (no, not the television show). "White House Lawn" is funny if you are familar with the politics and the personalities of the 50's.The only fault with this CD is its length, only about 24 minutes, but you will find yourself laughing for most of that. For the length, the price is right. Give us more of Moms!"
