CD Reviews

3rd solo is ok - 3.5 stars

(3 out of 5 stars)

"It took MJG 10 and a half years to release his 2nd solo, and here he releases his 3rd solo, just 3 months after his last album. Of his 3, this is definitley his worst (his debut I'd give 4, and his 2nd album I'd give 4.5 stars). With 12 songs, you get 6 good ones (only 1 or 2 are real good) and 6 ok songs. Guests are on 8 of the 12 songs, so you don't get that much of MJG on this one. Production is average as well and handled by Space Age Beats on all 12 songs. For his fans I'd pick it up, but over the last 15+ years, he has put out better material.
