CD Reviews

Blown away by magical ambience

"my friend told me that this is one of the best death metal cd's in existence, i immediately said no and while in my mind i think i am right, i have found the most original death metal album made. worlds beyond the veil is a timeless trip into another universe where man will pay for his ignorence (or so the story goes anyway!) The sound quality sucks, it sounds like morbid angels heretic in a cardboard box but that is nothing compared to the musicianship contained within. the songwriting is fast and heavy while at the same time catchy, in short for fans of death metal or someone looking for a change from all the other "bargain bin" bands around"
Just Incredible

"Mithras is a one of a kind band. They are a band that mixes in the strongest elements of early death metal with an atmospheric blend. This CD features excellent drumming, wonderful solos, and...you seriously have to listen to this for yourself. Words alone cannot understand the brilliance and originality that Mithras has to offer. Fans of death metal with an added twist to it (Myrkskog, Zyklon, Phlebotomized) need to check this out."
Brilliant and Precise Technical Black/Death Metal

"Mithras: an ancient god deemed "Judger of Souls".

The band Mithras truly live up to their name with "Worlds Beyond The Veil", creating uncompromising intricate and technically perfect death/black metal reminiscent of Zyklon (World ov Worms) and Behemoth. Also added to the mix is their own brand of guitar/electronic driven ambient brilliance, so from one point of tearing your throat out to another, they can just as easily let your soul soar high above the heavens. The lyrics on WBV deal with the thinking that in an infinite universe, there are worlds and realities beyond that one universe, hence the title. So if you like your death/black metal intelligent, precise and technical then "Worlds Beyond The Veil" I couldn't recommend this album enough, seriously mindblowing. Top 25 album pick of 2004. HAIL MITHRAS!!!"
