Synopsis

Product Description
EMERGING FROM THE GRAVE IN 2011...After his last official release in 2004 with the critically acclaimed Porn
Theatre Ushers' "Taxachusetts" LP, Mister Jason is back with a brand new bag of tricks. Equipped with his most
elaborate project to date, "Frankensteez" indulges his guests with styles to Freak Out to and experiments with
Live Instrumentation.
As we know, a producer is only as good as his collaborators, and lucky for him, Mister Jason has a Posse! That's
the name of the Bombastic track where he invites 26 emcees into his gang-one for each letter of the
alphabet-to rip the mic for 4 bars into Hip Hop history! As if that song, which features Akrobatik, Reks,
Termanology, Esoteric, Slaine, Jzone, and Q-unique, wasn't enough, Frankensteez features even more
inventive collaborations with some usual suspects of the Boston scene: Edo G, DJ Tommee, Saucy Lady, Paul
Foley, General Stoor and Jason's old PTU tag-team partner Nabo Rawk. Amidst the vast rotation of guests,
K-No Supreme takes the Role of Frankensteez with ease from start to finish, giving Mister Jason's Odyssey its
most unlikely Hero.
Staying true to his purist principles, Jason produced Frankensteez exclusively on the MPC-2000, the iconic drum
machine of choice for 90s legends like Pete Rock and DJ Premier. The result is an album that luxuriates that
era's aesthetic: its swinging drums and dust-chopped-to-death samples that, by Jason's own admission, are
meant to show off his freakishly extensive record collection. With the exception of two tracks contributed by Rain
(Life After God), Jason helms the rest of LP with an iron glove. He is after all, the mad scientist in this story.
