The Mission, (or Mission UK as they are known in the USA) formed in 1986 from the ashes of recently dissolved band Sisters of Mercy. They have crafted their own brand atmospheric Gothic Rock ever since. The line-up has changed many a time as the band has been resurrected through the years but the enigmatic lead singer Wayne Hussey has always remained constant. A virtuoso guitar player (though not playing lead guitar for The Mission preferring to focus his talent on vocals). On Wednesday 27th of February 2008, The Mission took to the stage to perform a memorable and momentous gig, performing 'The First Chapter' live in it s entirety. 'The First Chapter' was originally released 1987 and includes the singles, 'Serpents Kiss' and 'Garden of Delights'.
