CD Reviews

The real Miss Universe rocks!
bob_scene | 02/22/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Intially when I saw the album cover I assumed that it was just another pop band trying to reach stardom in the music industry. They reach more than the stars with power pop variations while a dreamlike voice echos beautifully. The lyric quality is keen without sounding repetitious and the drumming is simply out of this world. Your full attention is kept throughout this album. I promise that the listener will not be skipping ahead desperately in order to find true personal indentification."
Bring Me The Tush Of Miss Universe

"The only thing missing here is a picture of Michelle Rule's juicy rump. I mean, sure, her voice will make you fall desperately in love after about 5 seconds and the total guitar heaviosity will completely redefine your own personal meaning of the word "rock and roll" for you, but that bodacious kiester is what Miss Universe was really all about. Whether they were literally showering the Hole In The Wall audience with millions of rose petals, single-handedly destroying the ITT corporation with their erotically-charged guerrilla culture-jamming tactics or playing their best show ever for a handful of brainwashed hippie fanatics at a mud-soaked cult compound in darkest Texas, the Miss Universe experience was never complete without Michelle in a short thriftshop skirt shaking that Caucasian money maker like it was on fire. Alas, the Booty That Launched A Thousand Ships is no more. Michelle settled down and got married, Chris and Chris left town, and Josh is too cool to talk to me now. But the memories and the hallucinogen-induced neurological sequelae still linger. BUY THIS CD! If you listen sincerely, with discernment, you will SENSE that [rear], and you will realize the meaning of Duh! as few before you."
