Synopsis

Album Description
Misery Inc. was formed in Myrskyla, Finland in October 2001. First there was Janne (guitar), Jukka (bass), Jonttu (drums) and Jukkis (vocals). Their original plan was to make music without any lead guitars but then it turned out to be a bit boring. Teemu joined the band and so Misery Inc. was complete. Their debut album Yesterday's Grave received amazing feedback from metal media all over and made the band's name known in the metal scene. Firebox Records proudly present their second album Random End which really proves that Misery Inc. has found their style and are stronger than ever, showing how their misery is formed into kick-ass riffs, catchy melodies, and strong vocals. All put together in a very melancholic and moody fashion. 12 tracks. Firebox Records. 2006.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Ordinarily, I wouldn't bother to write a comment on anything...but this CD is so good, I actually feel the need to do it.

Here's the tracklisting:

04. Yesterday's Grave

05. Apologies Denied

06. Cyanide

07. Source Of Fatal Addiction

08. Greed Rules the World

09. Truth

10. No Excuse For Weakness

11. ...Out Of Here Alive

Misery Inc.'s Random End is so good that it made me forget what I was listening to before it...it's so good that I don't even care what I was listening to before I heard this album.

With a band this good, it's tough to accurately describe them. Heavy, melodic, metal, dark, catchy...just a few words to give an idea.

Each song has its own identity. Each song is memorable and has its own charachteristics. In other words, you can tell the songs apart...unlike alot of the hard music out today.

The music itself is well crafted and tight. Not to take anything away from the guitars, drums, and bass, but the vocals are what seals the deal...whoa, best vocals ever! The musicians in Misery Inc. have managed to create some of the best hooks and melodies I've heard in a very long time. Everything comes together perfectly on this album...the perfect blend of metal and melody.

Another thing that makes Random End a very special album is that any of the 11 songs on this album would be able to stand on its own as a single. Yeah, that's right- each song is good enough to be a single. When a band is able to accomplish something like that, you know they are good. Misery Inc. did not just write a couple of good songs and throw in a bunch of crap to fill up the rest of the CD. They made 11 strong songs that make for the most worthwhile 41 minutes of music that has come out in a long time. That's something many bands- even worldwide famous ones- will never accomplish.

In conclusion, if Misery Inc. sounds this good on their "second debut," its scary to think of how good their future material will be. I can't wait. I'm going to move to Finland so I can hear it sooner. No good bands come out of America anymore anyway.

From what I know, they aren't very popular...yet. So for now, they are my secret band from Finland...and that's cool.

Check them out online...search their name...they are easy to find.

And then buy this album!!!"
