Synopsis

Album Description
Summer of Wolves showcases creative, unconventional song structures and uncommon ideals as much as it does caustic, pissed off hardcore angst. Showcasing the ability to pace themselves across the record's length and somehow still pulling off the 8-minute "This Is The Blues" alongside more turbo-charged two- and three-minute anthems like "+ + +" and "Bring In The Suit" and "Firespitter," THE MINOR TIMES proves that there's still plenty of room for intelligence, creativity and ingenuity within the confines of an easily pigeonhole-able genre. Spanning 41 minutes across 11 tracks, Summer of Wolves is a more than worthy follow-up to Making Enemies, sure to keep fans already on the band's side happy, while still catching newcomers' ears...and eyes. With detailed artwork and layout from artist Mark Price, mastering from Alan Douches (Shadows Fall, Mastodon, Converge) and a crystal clear recording from returning producer Vince Ratti (A Life Once Lost, Bury Your Dead), Summer of Wolves is a complete package, necessitating a hard copy in the digital age.

A Punch To The GUT!!!!!!
Michael | Philadelphia, Panama | 12/16/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Get ready for a massive concussion of post hardcore mayhem!!! These guys assault your eardrums for 41 minutes of unrelenting insanity! "Summer of Wolves" is the perfect follow-up to the near flawless "Making Enemies" release. It is a great shame that the Minor Times have recently announced that they will be parting ways! There was so much more music in these guys, but things haven't been the same since lead guitarist Lou Millinghausen left the band shortly after the recording of "Wolves" due to HIV related complications. The special edition CD will be released in early spring which will include the bonus track "HIV+++" With one listen to this song, you will be hooked on the Minor Times and you will find the disc in your daily rotation for quite some time. The second disc will be one of the final live shows that was recorded with Lou in the everyday lineup, and will include the tracks "The Patient at Rest", "Clinic Visit Wednesdays" "The Brown Eye in the Sky" "The Lou is Very Dead" and they blow the crowd away with the encore version of "I F**K for Money" which unfortunately for Millinghausen didn't turn out so well. Good luck guys, and we will all pray for Lou's T-Cell count to rebound."
