Album Description

Contemporary, fun, educational and heartwarming, Milkshake's debut recording "Happy Songs" is a potpourri of activity songs, upbeat inspirational rock songs and lullabies released on Deck Party Music. Milkshake's original songs are based in the pop-rock genre, and influenced by both the years spent performing tuneful, melodic music in their rock band alter ego Love Riot, and the classic sounds of great groups like the Beatles.

A "must-have" for music loving families!!

"We saw Milkshake when they performed at the Children's Museum in NYC, and my 3 yr old daughter loved the music (and the show!!). We bought the cd when we came home from our vacation, and as soon as she heard the 1st song, she recognized it and started clapping and singing along. ("La la la...") My 5 yr old son is also a fan now. The cd is simply wonderful, and very easy on adult ears as well -- great for those of us weary of the sugary, irritating kids' music to which we are usually subjected. Here's hoping for another release from Milkshake!!!"

"I frequently wonder what else I can do to entertain and teach my 10 month old. This CD is a fun part of our day. I dance around with my daughter on my hip and sing to her - she LOVES it. The music is enjoyable for adults and I don't get sick of hearing and singing the songs over and over. I would definitely buy this as a gift."

"We saw this group at the Central PA Festival of the Arts in 2002. The kids (ages 5 and 9) had a great time at the concert and we play this CD ALL the time. The music won't make you crazy, won't bore the kids, and has a great beat for little ones without giving Mom and Dad a headache."
