A True Artist's tribute to his Latin Roots
09/20/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Gracias A La Vida is one of the most moving musical displays in the Latin music industry. Midon's voice is glorius and soars with greatness. You can feel his passion in every word. This is a great record to play for a romantic evening or for a hot latin party! If you get to the Miami area you must look up this artist. Currently he makes his home there and works regularly in the Miami music scene. What is not captured fully on this record is this great artist's ability to improvise. When you catch him live you will be shocked that you have not heard more about him. Do yourself a favor and check out this record. To learn more about Midon search your internet. Those of us who live in Miami had the privilege of attending legendary jazz musician Paquito D'Rivera in concert and witnessed this talented guest artist Midon rise to the occasion. His music brought the audience to its feet and it will do the same for you! I highly reccommend this record for its well chosen pieces and its excellent production!"
Dude's great on CD and AMAZING Live

"EVen more than buying the CD, ya wanna see this guy live. He's been playing in NYC for a while, and i've caught a few of his shows. He is one of the most electrifying performers i've seen. He is a band by himself--playing guitar and also using it as percussion, blowing through his lips to play trombone..i know it sounds somewhat lame, BUT he pulls it off, even for this cynical concert-going New Yorker. I say get the CD, and do your best to catch his show whenever he's in your town."
