"Midnight Slows ranks among some of the very greatest smooth Jazz recordings, with Buddy Tate clearly a musician not only of great profesional expertise but one who clearly understands the subtle nuances of the music he plays and of the instrument, the saxaphone, that is his specialtiy.

This is cool music at its most cool. When stalled in traffic and playing it on my DVD I've had complete strangers of all ages and types in cars around me, or nearby pedestrians, say, " Oh man, Wow! here did you get that?""
