CD ReviewsUniquely Beauty-Full Solo Guitar CD !!! Gypsy Guitars | Kula, UpCountry Maui, Hawaii | 01/18/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "i am soul-glad to have discovered this uniquely talented artist & guitarist / violinist !!! this CD exudes both romance & soul in Ramo's guitar playing with both lyrical & play-full flows of rhythm, melody 'n' harmony... Ramo plays both nylon cutaway 6 string as well as one of the most distinctively designed nylon 7 string cutaway jazz guitars ever made on this masterpiece of recording & production... this well- produced CD really allows the listener to appreciate the deep bass notes of the 7 string guitar / violao [that often times are not well-recorded on many 7 string Brazilian Violao CDs] & the clarity of perception as well as the enjoyment of this musical style is therefore enhanced... most of the music is of Ramo's creation yet there is an "even" flow of quality to this CD thru both original as well as standard pieces... i think that anyone who enjoy's well-played Jazz & Brazilian Jazz solo guitar would adore this music as there is a strong influence of Baden Powell, Bola Sete & George Van Epps to Ramo's playing... anyway, i LOVE this CD & look forward to the release of his gypsy-swing violin playing on a CD to be released later this year... i am impressed by the distinctive style that Ramo presents in his music & his guitars [even in the way he dresses for the stage]... a real character that dares to be clearly distinctive yet taste-fully creative... his co-creation [w/ innovative luthier Rich Dicarlo] of 7 & 8 nylon string jazz cutaway guitars is evolving the art of guitar design as well as enjoyment by nylon string guitar players... now, i hope he soon records a solo 8 string guitar CD to enhance his catalog & reveal more of his talent!!!"
