CD ReviewsWhat a great debut album from a great writer and musician! daryl28 | 09/24/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is a bulls-eye from a very creative artist and Michael Peterson deserves all the recognition he is getting. Most of the songs on this album are good songs. The only song I didn't like was "For A Song," and that was because the song was just too slow. Songs like "Lost In The Shuffle" and "Love's Great" are good songs from the album that were not released. He did good in releasing the songs he did release. His debut single, "Drink, Swear, Steal, and Lie," is a very cool and unique up-tempo love song. The song "When The Bartender Cries" is a great song about an alcoholic facing himself for the first time. Another up-tempo song that is real good is "Too Good To Be True." Other good songs on the album are "By The Book," "That's What They Said About The Buffalo," and "Since I Thought I Knew It All." The best song on this album by far, however, is "From Here To Eternity." It is such a beautiful love song which asks the question "will you marry me?" It is one of the very few songs I know of that asks that question, and it is easily the best of the songs that do. His great voice also sings it with a lot of emotion and conviction, which makes the song that much more believable. I suggest you go out and buy both of his albums, "Michael Peterson" and "Being Human." You will not regret spending 25-30 dollars on these great albums. Michael Peterson has a very good future ahead of him." I never even owned a CD player until AFTER I bought this Disc. I have been listening to Country Music all my life (a LONG time), and have never been this impressed with ONE particular artist. This One has it all. It will make you laugh, cry, dance,think about the way you look at others as well as yourself. And most of all...It will leave you happy inside and out. Something we ALL need.
