An outstanding,obscure find

"Heard these gentlemen on my cable system's music on demand/jazz station.

I was virtually transfixed on the spot. The band is named after tenor saxaphone

player Michael but all of the songwriting and arranging credits on this disc go to

guitarist Johnnie Valentino--he also produced it.

Whoever is the "leader" of this jazz combo--- the result is an outstanding effort

containing 10 tunes--none shorter than 6 minutes. I am very cynical about newer

jazz combos because I personally dislike the "muzak" output that we get in bands like Spyro Gyra,Acoustic Alchemy,Kenny G,ect ect that gets marketed in the jazz

catagory. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL,FOLKS--take a chance on this one--you'll be glad you did.
