Yes, that Michael Bolton, and yes, it does rock.

"I can't believe I'm singing the praises of a Michael Bolton album, but man does his 1985 album Everybody's Crazy rock! Obviously we all know Bolton from his platinum career crooning sappy ballads to middle-aged housewives, but for a brief moment in the mid 80's, Michael Bolton was a rocker, or at least he marketed himself as one.
Everybody's Crazy is one of the quintessential AOR/melodic rock albums of the 1980's - and that's saying something. Michael Bolton was working the same magic bands like Journey, Foreigner and Loverboy had at the time. It's all catchy hooks, irresistible melodies, tons of keyboards, and of course Bolton's powerful voice. Ballads like "Call My Name" are a precursor to his later work, but it's rockers like "Save Our Love", "Every Time" and the title track that make this album so much fun.
If you're a fan of the 80's era AOR and melodic rock sound, they don't get much better than this. Sadly, Bolton left the rock scene shortly after this album was release. Obviously the move to wuss-rock territory paid off in a big way, but I can't help but wish he'd given us another album or two like Everybody's Crazy.
NOTE: Rock Candy reissued Everybody's Crazy in 2008. The reissue doesn't feature any bonus material, but it has been digitally remastered, which is a real plus. It's not cheap (not here, at least), but the improved sound quality makes this reissue well worth buying."

"Absolutely the best album Michael ever put out, hands down. He Should re-release it and soon. It is a wonderful showcase of his amazing talents, both as a singer and as a song writer. I own at least 8 of his cd's and this is my favorite."
