Great Band, Bad Mastering

"Merel was one of the best screamo/hardcore bands to come out of the 90's and when I saw this discography I was really excited to have a cd to accompany the vinyl in my collection. Unfortunately Gern Blandsten did a sloppy job of putting these songs together.My biggest problem is at the end of the song NewFoundSnideRemark which originally appeared on the compilation "God's Chosen People" you can hear the beginning of the next song (not Merel). It's not an issue of one song 'bleeding' into the next one, there is a clear pause before you get 1.5 seconds of the next song.Considering that Charles , the head of Gern Blandsten, was a member of Merel for touring purposes you'd think he'd watch out for such sloppy mastering."
