"I can't believe it took me 5 years to find this CD. An eclectic collection of songs and incredible artists. The Memphis Horns are amazing and the talent they invited to this session is a perfect mix. Definitely a must have for the R&B, soul, blues lover."

"This is an album that I had before but lost. I was amazed to get it back on Amazon. Not only is the album as spectacular as it always has been but I'm impressed with the wide array of titles that are still available.

Back to a review of this particular Memphis Horns with special guests it is one of my all time favorites. If you are a fan of blues and in particular Memphis style Blues then this album is for you. It's powerful rendition of standard blues tunes is some of the best I have ever heard.

Where else can you hear moving performances by William Bell, Bruce Channel, Robert Cray, Warren Haynes, Teenie Hodges, Etta JAmes, Ricky Ray, Leon Russell, Mavis Staples and Bobby Womack?

Some of these folks are no longer with us, which makes this work all the more special. With tunes like Take me to the river, Fa-fa-fa-fa-fa (Sad Song), I've been loving you too long, Desire in your eyes. To name a few, take these all to new heights, new, powerful, soaring and memorable music that is as new today as it was when it was first cut in 1994 and released in 95 which makes it 14 years old. Still has chops that are the gold standard for this type of music. I give this 5 big stars out of a possible 5. Can't get any better than that."
