Longtime pillars of the Christian music industry, the Gaither Vocal Band is renowned for their Southern gospel zeal, and this project is no exception. Masters of performance, the Gaithers and their Homecoming Friends (James Blackwood, the Martins, Sandi Patti, and others) do it up in style for this energetic display of devotion and talent. Between the ecstatic gospel and Southern crooning, the soloists, choir, song selection, and audience interaction cause a carefree response to swell within the heart. The magical glow of this live performance and the tradeoff vocal style that brings a community feel into the music create what seems like a holiday gathering between the Gaithers and their friends. "Holy Ground, Lord Send your Angels, God is Good All the Time, He's Worthy..All these songs are such wonderful songs. Who's better to be singing them than some of the best southern gospel music artists. Allison Durham Speer, The Gaither Vocal Band, The Happy Goodmans, all of these people's voices touch our hearts as they sing these beautiful songs. This cd really brings out the harmony in all these people. I recommend it to everyone."
