Sheer 80's Ecstasy!

"The much sought after CD "Do Me Baby", Meli'sa Morgan's 1986 solo debut is 80's Pop/Soul at it's very best!
Meli'sa began her career as part of a couple of Disco/R&B groups 'Shades of Love' & 'High Fashion'. Morgan then moved on to a stint as a background vocalists for Chaka Khan, serving as a replacement for Vesta Williams. In 1985, Morgan snagged a long overdue recording contract with Capitol Records and releases the now classic "Do Me Baby" CD a year later.
The title track, a sweltering remake of a Prince song, was the lead single from the CD. Not surprisingly, the song skyrocketted to the #1 position on the Billboard R&B Charts in '86. The followup single, the sizzling ballad "Do You Still Love Me" was also a huge R&B hit for the songstress. A third single, "Fool's Paradise", a brilliant uptempo ditty, remains a staple on old-school R&B radio to this day.
There is simply not a dull moment on this CD. Meli'sa cranks it up with uptempo numbers like the sassy "I'll Give It When I Want It", "Getting To Know You Better" and "Lies". While she she slows things down on the amazing "Now Or Never" and "Heart Breaking Decision", where labelmate Freddie Jackson supplies backgroud vocals.
It bewilders me why on earth this CD went out of print. This is Morgan's best effort to date and 80's music at it's finest. I very highly recommend this exceptional title, if you can find it."
Great Soulful Music

"I love all of the songs from this album from beginning to end. There are also great singles from this album with include "Do Me Baby", "Fool's Paradise" and "Do You Still Love Me?". Fans of Whitney Houston, Taylor Dayne, Sheena Easton, Celine Dion among others should give this a try."

"After working with the genius' like Rufus and Chaka Khan, Melissa Morgan was bound for greatness. I bought this ablum (cassette) back in the mid eighties, and I currently own the CD. This LP is by far one of my most prized disc in my entire collection, a collection I have started since 1988. Melissa's new album only proves my theory, that this artist's voice is a gold mine to this very day."
