"Mel (God rest her soul) & Kim were the epitome of Brit-pop attitude in the mid 80s. A local crossover radio station played "Showing Out" in heavy rotation back in '86 and totally got me hooked. At the time I had no idea this was produced by the same folks responsible for Dead Or Alive and Bananarama's biggest hits. I snapped up a copy of the "F.L.M." LP and pretty much wore it out. I was sad to hear of Mel's untimely passing as they certainly would have fit in with the Salt-N-Pepas, J.J. Fads, Sweet Sensations, etc... that came in the couple years after this was released. This CD, while labelled "The Best Of...", is really a re-issue of the complete "F.L.M." album (CD version) with the inclusion of "That's The Way It Is" from the soundtrack to Eddie Murphy's "Coming To America". It would have been nice to have the remix of that appended to the end of the album as well, but you can't have it all!I'm truly grateful that this CD was released, giving many more people the pleasure to experience Mel & Kim's sense of style, fun and attitude the way it was meant to be heard! If you can ever find it... check out Kim Appleby's solo album, which included some fine tracks such as "Don't Worry" and "Mama"."
I've been looking for Mel & Kim for the past 8 years!

"When I was in college 8 years ago, my dormmate had a vinyl of Respectible. I had never heard of Mel and Kim, but listened to that album over and over for hours. For the past 8 years, I have looked through stacks of used CDs in countless shops trying to find a copy of their CD. Yesterday, a friend suggested that I go to Amazon to search for the CD. I can't believe you have their music. My search is over. Mel and Kim's music is very energizing and their lyrics are in your mind for days after you hear their songs. If you like dance, you'll love this CD. Thanks Amazon"
Finally, Mel & Kim

"Hi, As a gal growin up in the 1980s with british relatives we'd often visit. My cousin had posters plastered on her wall, and the record, Mel and Kim? who are these two punkish looking girls singing the 80s way, Never to be heard (in their time West of the UK)...I couldnt wait to get it so against my cousins instructions (she told me she'd tape it for me)i went into a music shop and bought a pricy audio tape of Mel and Kim (UK prices were a lot higher then, and still higher than in my native Canada) I WANTED MY OWN COPY. I was sad when I found that Mel passed on, i grilled my cousin since there was no media in North America. I love a lot of the songs especially FLM, WHO's GONNA CATCHA BABY, and SHOWING OUT still and when i get into my 80s rotation on my stero they are on. Since i hooked up onto the Net 6-7 years ago I have been paitiently waiting for some sort of existance of Mel & Kim, but still as of yet I have found no information other than ordering CDs and such, To all Mel & Kim fans "Is there any www out there?" thanks tbfHow I found Mel & Kim via Amazon, no not Amazon.com, Amazon.de, thanks AMAZON"
