CD Reviews

McFly:- "I'll Be Ok"
Wonderland | U.K | 08/28/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"McFly have really matured since releasing songs like "Five Colours In Her Hair". Their songs just get better, and "I'll Be Ok" maybe their best effort yet, along with the Comic Relief recording "All About You". "I'll Be Ok" is their second number one single in the UK taken from their new album "Wonderland", out TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!! McFly have scored another three number ones. Their number ones are:- FIVE COLOURS, OBVIOUSLY, ALL ABOUT YOU + I'LL BE OK. Their first album got number one, and their second is tipped to go to number one, too, in the UK.

Cd 2 features the following tracks:- I'LL BE OK, NOTHING, PINBALL WIZARD, I'LL BE OK (ENHANCED VIDEO) + DANNY'S DISCO (HOME FOOTAGE). It also includes a free poster. I'll Be Ok is an excellent summer track, Nothing is a great previously unreleased song, Pinball Wizard is the Who classic and the video + footage is excellent. The poster is double-sided, with pressings of the "I'll Be Ok" singles on them. The Amazon tracklisting for Cd 2 is wrong, "I'll Be Ok" + "No Worries" are included on Cd 1!"
Mcflys songs just get better and better!

"When I heard that mcfly were going to release a new single with a different sort of sound to their others, i was unsure that it would be able to top the other fantastically written previous chart hits such as "obviously" and "that girl"etc. Until I heard "Ill be okay", as soon as I heard it I loved it, it definatly is a lot more mature, accompaning the bands new image. This single is a more "grown up" than their other songs which I think will interest a whole different generation as well as their usual age group.Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones together have written a fabulous song with meaningful verses and an incredibly catchy chorus which brings a smile to my face!I especially loved the U2 esque beginning and Harry Judds drum work in the chorus,it was the key ingredient that gave the song that certain quality that would even make the biggest mcfly non-fan want to dance! I havent actually got one bad point to make about it! the singing and harmonising was amazing, every instrument: guitar, bass and drums was played to its full potential. I can definatly see this becoming a massive summer hit.keep up the good work!x"
