CD Reviews

You've Gotta Experience This!

"This is an incredible follow up to Maxine's first solo effort, "Titania." Maxine Petrucci IS "The Heavy Metal Shredder Queen." I'm not a professional musician and you don't have to be to know what you like and to recognize amazing talent. This CD is one of those where no song needs to be skipped to get to the "good" ones. My personal favorites are "My QT" and "Arithmetac" but like I said, it is one riveting tune right after another.

I am not a morning person but when I listen to the "Shredder Queen," the music just kicks my butt into full throttle. Maxine belongs in the ranks with Yngwie, Ritchie B. Paul Gilbert, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John P. and M.A. Batio just to name a few. Its those heavy rippin riffs, climactic cords and vicious vocals that are a combustible combination that will set heavy metal fans aflame! I LOVE IT! Buy this now my heavy metal friends. Experience one of the best. In my opinion - she is the best!"
Maxine, you've done it again! WOW!

"Cindy's review is spot-on. This is Maxine's follow-up to her debut cd "Titania" (which is a fantastic cd in it's own right). But unlike most follow-ups, the quality doesn't fade; in fact, it's even better. Her songwriting, musical arrangement, lyrics and lyrical arrangement have improved. Even her guitar playing has improved (if that was possible). However, she took a little different direction with two of her songs - "Left Behind" and "Caught Off Guard", which are a little different style from her usual fare. But she nailed it with both of them. In fact, they are two of my favorite songs on the cd. Maxine can play guitar with the best of them. If you like hard rock heavy metal, Maxine will hit you right between the eyes and leave you lovin' it. Don't doubt that. And she has gutsy lyrics and says exactly what she feels. From vengeance and pain to love and lust, Maxine will make you feel them all. But the bottom line here is Maxine plays one helluva guitar. If you like hard rock heavy metal guitar, both rhythm and lead, you can't miss with this one. Way to go, Maxine. I am breathlessly waiting to see what you do next. And rest assured - I will be one of the first ones in line."
